The XTS 1500 portable radio incorporates Motorola’s Noise Shield analog and
digital noise reduction technology to accurately fi lter out the caller’s voice from
background noise. Virtually eliminating ambient background noise from radio
transmissions and improving user safety by making sure transmissions are not
only heard, but clearly understood.

Data Capability

• Integrated Voice & Data Ready.
• Use the XTS 1500 as a modem as well as send and receive data through your trunking or conventional infrastructure.
• No system – No problem! Use IP packet data capabilities to send data directly to other radios.
• IP-enabled radio is equipped for external data device usage via high speed USB or RS232.
• POP25 “Programming Over Project 25” is a feature which allows subscriber radio confi guration to be accessed and updated over the air via the ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice and Data (IV&D) system.

When it comes to programming, the XTS 1500 portable radio can easily be
programmed via the front of the radio using the same Customer Programming
Software (CPS) as the XTS 2500 and XTS 5000 portable radios. This easy to use,
Windows-based customer programming software allows programmers to utilize
the drag and drop, clone wizard, and programming over IP capabilities. As your
system changes or expands, migrate effortlessly. You can customize, add new software or future enhancements as your needs grow. Not only is the XTS 1500 portable radio compatible with digital trunking, analog trunking and digital conventional, it is your affordable entry into P25 interoperability.
